Be Ready for Summer
Any New Yorker will tell you that having access to a swimming pool is highly coveted. Nothing like a refreshing splash, a drink in hand, and strong summer vibes to make this the trip you were craving.
Here’s our picks for best hotel pools in NYC–from quiet to rowdy, budget to ballin’ and back again.
Hotel Indigo LES
The 293-room Indigo Hotel, located in the heart of the Lower East Side, hides in plain sight. What’s inside is even more enticing than the building’s understated facade. A rooftop bar, in-house restaurant that’s actually good, a gym, AND a rooftop pool. Sure, it may not be a divey, gritty, NY experience… but I don’t know a New Yorker that will refuse a cooling pool experience in the heavy summer heat.
Le Parker Meridien
With a multi-level deck, a 40-foot pool, and killer views, Le Parker Meridien is what we’d call a top-of-the-line, break-the-bank kinda experience. Make sure to try a few drinks and small plates on the deck’s menu. Even if you end up booking your room elsewhere, they accept non-hotel guests with a day pass.
This Lower East Side hotel pays tribute to the Downtown art scene with a massive Andy Warhol painting at the bottom of the pool. The 1,200 sq. ft. pond at SIXTY LES has a strict guests only rule, with the exception of special pool parties during the summer. Plus, there’s always the open-to-all beer garden and a Blue Ribbon Sushi just one floor down.
The William Vale
The pool and terrace at The William Vale in Williamsburg is a sight to behold. At 60 feet, it is the longest in Brooklyn and greater New York City (within a hotel, that is). If you’re with company and looking for a place to spend your afternoons, their open-air deck is ideal for group hangs.
