Room for Two
When traveling as a couple, a hotel room can make or break your vacation. Mood lighting, intimate corners, a touch of stylish romance, and even room service can be just what you and your better half need. We picked out our top New York favorites for relaxing and enjoying the pleasures of globetrotting plus one.
The Maritime Hotel
You guessed correctly if you immediately imagined yourself in a cozy, warm, and nautical-infused room (minus the sea-sickness) when you saw The Maritime Hotel name. The rounded windows, wood paneling, and understated beauty in these comfortable rooms come together to set the perfect intimate mood. If it were up to us, we’d move in permanently–even the price is right!
The Bowery Hotel is for travelers who wish to spend their nights cozying up to their love at the downstairs bar–with ambience set by vintage Persian rugs and opulent furnishings. There’s romance in the air and everyone who walks through the doors is immediately placed under its spell. The rooms? Perfectly set with timeless classics, comfort, and soft light.
The Pierre, A Taj Hotel
Consider The Pierre to be the luxury option of our list, with classic Upper East Side style and a price tag to match. But then again, you might not want to put a budget on a honeymoon suite. With views of Central Park and rooms as spacious as it gets, this is the place where you and your boo will feel like royalty.
The Greenwich Hotel
The sense of exclusivity, combined with their state of the art spa and pool, may be the most intimate of hotel experiences in all of NYC. Set against the romance of Tribeca’s cobblestoned streets… and you may just find yourself inside a Woody Allen film. We can’t find a single thing to frown upon at The Greenwich Hotel, especially when traveling as a pair. Just keep in mind, perfection comes at a price.
